Attention Shutterstock fans, a new and exciting design competition is coming to a city near you! Shutterstock and AIGA are proud to introduce Pixels of Fury, a national tournament that takes creative inspiration to the next level. The series of live tournaments will take place across the country over the next few months, challenging contestants to create an inspiring poster with images from Shutterstock’s collection at breakneck speed. How it Works: Each participant will have 20 minutes to produce a poster using images from lightboxes, with one wildcard allowed where they can use Shutterstock Instant to find images and vectors based on the topic of interest. Participating designers will be under pressure as a live audience watches their every move. The live audience can vote on the winner via SMS text. A panel of local designer influences will assist in the selection of the winning designs, prizes include the “Furious Pixel” trophy, a 3-month Shutterstock subscription ($709 value) and a $100 Apple gift card.
Dates and Locations: The multi-city tour kicks off in San Francisco and Milwaukee on June 14, 2012 and will travel to a dozen cities over the next several months. Shutterstock will co-host the events with local AIGA chapters including Philidelphia and Boston. Below are the dates for our current schedule:
